Quick look to 2014

A new year is about to start and we would like to thank everybody for the great support and words along 2014. A great year that started with The Spring Quartet tour throughout USA and Canada, a JJA  Jazz Award Nomination in the categorie of Historical Record of the Year along with Miles Davis, JazzTimes Critics Pool winner in the category of Drums 2013, tours in Asia, Europe and  the US with Jack Trio with Ravi Coltrane and Matthew Garrison and some very special shows with Keith Jarret and Gary Peacock. Wrapping up this amazing year, Jack received the DownBeat Award 2014. Again, thanks for all your support and see you soon!

Two nights @Blue Note Milano

Jazz in November

From Thursday 5th to Sunday November 9, 2014 the Teatro Central in Seville will host a new edition of the series Jazz in November. The Jazz Festival will be held at Teatro Central in seville (Spain) and the groups confirmed are: David Murray Infinity Quartet , double bill with Trio Edition and Antonio Lizana Group, Jorge Pardo Cuarteto and Jack DeJohnette Trio featuring Ravi Coltrane and Matthew Garrison. The greatest piano trio in contemporary jazz

Chicago Symphony Center welcomes back “the greatest piano trio in contemporary jazz” (BBC Music Magazine). The incomparable Keith Jarrett returns with long-time collaborators Gary Peacock and Jack DeJohnette for an evening of electrifying improv and thrilling melodies. After their performance at Symphony Center in 2011, Downbeat magazine said, “few pianists express a more intimate physical and emotional connection to the instrument and the music than Jarrett … such focus and concentration is shared by the group.”

Albany Riverfront Jazz Festival

The schedule of bands and musicians for the 13th annual Albany Riverfront Jazz Festival has been announced, featuring five acts performing throughout the day on Saturday, September 6. The free fest is slated to run from 1-9pm at Jennings Landing in Albany’s Corning Preserve, capped off with a fireworks display. Jack DeJohnette Trio will be playing from 6:45–8:30pm. – More info here.

Jack DeJohnette and Teri Roiger join WAMC radio show to talk about his show at the Bearsville Theater in Woodstock, NY on Saturday, August 16. The event is being produced by Jazzstock. Created by John Menegon and Teri Roiger in the summer of 2011, Jazzstock is an ongoing jazz concert and workshop series presenting a diverse group of jazz artists who have an individual voice and a desire to share their talents and ideas with us in the Hudson Valley.
